Questions before accepting
Understand the assignment before committing to its first shift.
Ask about the work
What tasks will you perform, where will you report and who will supervise? Ask about the pace, equipment and instructions provided. These questions make the role more concrete.
Ask about the schedule
Confirm the hours, expected duration and process for schedule changes. Check that the journey works for early or late starts. A nearby location can still be difficult to reach at a particular time.
Ask about the start
Find out what orientation is required and what to bring. If an instruction is unclear, raise it before arrival. An informed candidate can focus on learning the operation rather than resolving basic details.
